a class for beginners and those with movement limitations
6 Week Series
Join us at the Marathon library on Monday mornings for a gentle yoga sequence almost anyone can do. We will focus on standing poses and using tools (such as chairs) to assist us in accessing the greatest benefit and ease in our yoga practice. During this 6 week course we will work through basic yoga poses and learn terminology. The course will be led by certified yoga instructor, Arlene Haessler. The first session will be Monday, August 19th at 10 AM. We will meet August 19 and 26, then break for the Labor Day Holiday and resume for four more weeks September 9, 16, 23 & 30. If there is a demand we will continue the program.
Your instructor, Arlene Haessler, is certified in Vinyasa Yoga (200 hour certification) and received a beginning yoga instructor certification (50 hour) in Iyengar Yoga from the Yoga Institute of Miami. She is also a Florida licensed massage therapist (23 years) with advanced training as an Anatomy Trains Structural Integrator (500 hour certification). Her focus is on finding ease and comfort in our bodies through yoga and bodywork.

Wear comfortable clothing for movement. Bring a yoga mat if you can, also bring a large towel.
