Join Ms. Chris for a quick 30-minute class focusing on pre-literacy skills for toddlers ages 1-3 years old. Reading books, games, songs and activities will be used to introduce and reinforce concepts that lead to success in reading. Parents will be involved in guiding and prompting their child in the class as well as being encouraged to practice these activities at home. Some concepts we will cover are colors, shapes, counting, math concepts, and name recognition. Literacy Time requires a commitment of 6 weeks, Tuesdays at 11 a.m. The class is limited, and registration is required. Contact Ms. Chris at the Islamorada Library if interested – 305-664-4645.

February 12, 3:30-5 pm Hearts & Crafts: a crafting extravaganza. Don’t miss out on the crafting fun and get ready to spread some love this Valentine’s Day! All materials will be provided – just bring your imagination and creativity! For Ages 6-11.

Kids can scout for badges, fun and learning at the Key West Library.
You’ve heard of Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts – now the Key West Library is introducing Library Scouts, where kids can earn badges, have fun and learn about science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).
The program is open to all kids ages 6 and up and is held from 3:00-5:00pm on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
The program includes experiments, crafts, books and more fun activities. Each meeting focuses on a new badge and includes activities to earn that badge.

Storytime is a fun early literacy program for children. Join us for interactive stories, songs, rhymes, and crafts. The early literacy practices featured each week help build the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Storytime offers an opportunity to experience early literacy practices in action, to discover great books, music, and to socialize with other parents after Storytime. Expecting parents and siblings are welcome to attend.
STEAM After School
Let off STEAM after school every Friday at 3:30 PM! Lots of fun activities and learning opportunities for school age kids! The last Friday of the month STEAM will be making SLIME!
