Join Ms. Chris for a quick 30-minute class focusing on pre-literacy skills for toddlers ages 1-3 years old. Reading books, games, songs and activities will be used to introduce and reinforce concepts that lead to success in reading. Parents will be involved in guiding and prompting their child in the class as well as being encouraged to practice these activities at home. Some concepts we will cover are colors, shapes, counting, math concepts, and name recognition. Literacy Time requires a commitment of 6 weeks, Tuesdays at 11 a.m. The class is limited, and registration is required. Contact Ms. Chris at the Islamorada Library if interested – 305-664-4645.
