Stop by the Key Largo Branch Library starting today to pick up Summer Reading Logs! This year’s theme is Adventure Begins @ Your Library.

Summer Reading is going to be an absolute blast this year! The theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library” so come pick up your adventurer starter pack on May 25th: book tote, reading log, bookmark, this summer’s brochure, and a special Summer Reading badge! And you can get your first look at the awesome prizes you’ll earn for reading!!

Join us on Mondays at 3PM during the summer for Teen Summer Reading fun. Check out all the fun activities all summer long.
Join us on June 5th and 12th at 10:30AM to welcome the Prevention Coordinator through Guidance/Care Center. An Apple A Day lesson consists of reading a story, having a whole group discussion, and then an activity that follows. The Apple A Day Program is a literacy-based program that helps to build and reinforce resiliency skills for substance abuse prevention and mental health promotion through development of a health self-esteem, encouragement of optimistic and positive thinking, and the use of positive, inspiring role models from literature.
Bring the kids to the library June 6th at 10:30 AM, for a meet and greet to get the Summer Reading season started! The kids can pick up their welcome packets and they can also pick up more books to fill in their Summer Reading logs to earn more chances at fun prizes!

The next program for Summer Reading has Kelly visiting us from the Marathon Wild Bird Center on Thursday, June 20th at 10:30 AM. Kelly will tell us all the amazing work that the Marathon Wild Bird Center does for our community and hopefully bring along a few of her feathered friends!

The next program for Summer Reading has Libby, our local NASA ambassador and Jay, from our local astronomy club, on Thursday, June 27th at 10:30 AM. Libby and Jay will have a fun interactive program where we get to pretend to go on a mission to the moon! Not everything goes right, and we will have to race against time to find solutions to save our mission.
