Movie Matinee: Road To Morocco (G)

Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour, Road to Morocco. Cartoon of a camel with two men and a woman riding on it.

Join us at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, for a free screening of a classic film from 1942.

Our summer adventures continue with the third (and widely considered the best) pairing of legends Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. It’s laughs aplenty as the dynamic duo, through a series of zany antics, inadvertently end up in the court of Princess Shalmar (Dorothy Lamour). Naturally, a love triangle forms, but what starts as a fight for the princess’ heart turns into a fight to escape once they discover the baggage that comes with being her first love. Selected by the Library of Congress for the National Film Registry, this musical romp will cool you off after a hot summer day.

This movie is free and open to all – you do not need a Monroe County Public Library card to attend.
