Two chances to take part in the Islamorada Library Book Club

Join us for our next book club when we’ll be reading Klara and the Sun!

Thursday, July 11, at 12:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 13, at 9:30 a.m.

From Nobel laureate Kazuo Ishiguro, author of Never Let Me Go, comes a thought-provoking sci-fi tale about what it means to be human. Klara is an “Artificial Friend” who is keenly observant of the customers both inside and outside the store from which she waits to be purchased. When she’s finally bought by a sick child named Josie, Klara becomes quickly attached and is determined to find a way to cure Josie using solar power. The film adaptation of this novel directed by Taika Waititi and starring Jenna Ortega is currently in production, so join in on the discussion before everyone else hops on board!
