What is Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. People with ASD often have problems with social communication and interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests. People with ASD may also have different ways of learning, moving, or paying attention.
WHEN IS WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS DAY 2023?
World Autism Awareness Day is observed on April 2. The day recognizes and spreads awareness for the rights of people with autism.
It’s awesome to be different! People with autism spectrum disorders can help to make a change in the world — all they need to be successful in treatment and support from their environment — just take people like Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein as an example.

These middle grade and young adult books feature neurodivergent characters. Some are written by neurodivergent authors, too.
