Check Out The Little Free Yarn Library

Three baskets of yarn and a bin of crochet and knitting needles on a shelf

Have you seen our Little Free Fiber Library yet? It’s a free resource of materials and supplies for knitting and crocheting. It houses various yarns, crochet hooks, knitting needles, patterns, and fiber arts accoutrements provided for the public at no cost.

You’ll find the Little Free Fiber Library located at the back of the Circulation Desk, near the free Trade Paperbacks cart and monthly Take-and-Make art activity. Through the generosity of the Friends of the Big Pine Library and crafters across Big Pine Key, we have amassed a large selection of yarns beyond what can fit in the Little Free Fiber Library.

And if you want to learn more about fiber crafts, the Big Pine Library Crochet Club meets at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays. We welcome knitters, fiber beginners, and anyone looking for comradery while counting stitches.
