March 23 at 2 PM join us in learning about MERC. Bill and Kathy Sympson, full-time Marathon residents, members of MERC since 2018. MERC = Monroe Emergency Reserve Corps.
MERC is a county-wide volunteer program developed through the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management. Members are trained in some basic skills so that we can be available if MCEM calls for volunteers to assist in time of disaster or with other needs. We will explain further what MERC is and will emphasize steps we can all take to be better prepared to help ourselves and others in an emergency.
