Come paint ceramics with us at the Key West Library! All supplies will be provided and no painting experience is necessary. Then join us on the last Thursday of each month to paint something new.
A registered nurse from Keys AHEC visits the Islamorada Library every Thursday from noon until 1 pm offering FREE tools to help you quit tobacco. Jennings & Keller is an award-winning nationally touring duo based out of Florida. They offer up 21st Century Americana with influences in folk, jazz, and roots music. They fuse many different musical elements into a unique eclectic style that is refreshingly diverse.

Cornerstone Resource Alliance offers help getting a birth certificate and Florida ID, applying for disability benefits, relocating and reunifying with family, assistance with Medicaid and Medicare, health care, mental health and addiction referrals. The group also offers job, housing, shelter and educational assistance, cell phone and mail services, rental assistance, food stamp assistance and clothing and basic needs supplies.
The first Monday of the month is for fiber arts. Work on an existing project or learn a new skill involving yarn, fabric, cording, needles and thread.
We will have different projects each month, with all supplies provided.
Self-expression through art is an important part of human nature. You don’t have to be in art school, or create marble sculptures, or create realistic paintings to be an artist. Whatever you create is an extension of you, and it is beautiful in that regard.
Join us on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 AM to let your creativity shine! In this class we will explore different mediums such as sketch, paint, multimedia and more!

Adult Crafts is moving to Tuesdays! Every other Tuesday at 1 PM join in on the crazy crafty fun!
Calling all Artists, new and experienced! Bring in items you are working on and help each other during this fun afternoon program. Sometimes a guest artist will have a fun project everyone can participate in. Check the Key Largo Library’s Facebook page for weekly projects during season. It’s a great way to meet other artists and receive help. All library programs are free and open to the public. Except February 27, 2024.
The Libby App allows you to borrow ebooks and audiobooks using your library card from the Monroe County Public Library System. Stop by the Islamorada Library on Tuesday, May 23 between 2:00 and 4:30 pm with your library card, smartphone, laptop or e-reading device to learn more.
1st Wednesday of the Month
UF/IFAS, Monroe County Extension Service offers free plant clinics. Master Gardener Volunteers will be onsite the first Wednesday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to help assist with plant identification, disease diagnosis, insect identifications/problems, and other services related to diagnosing gardening and/or landscape problems.
