The popular on-demand video streaming service, Kanopy, includes Kanopy Kids: thoughtful entertainment for children aged preschool and up. Make extra screen time extra educational with Kanopy Kids, a video streaming service that’s free with your MCPL Library card. Kanopy Kids includes hundreds of movies, TV shows, and read-along books your kids will love.
Kids’ categories include TV Series, Learning Languages, Animated Storybooks, Anime Favorites, Classic Films, and Movies for the Whole Family. Key titles include Arthur, Babar, Franklin & Friends, Sesame Street, Little Bear, and Between the Lions.
If you haven’t yet created a Kanopy account, it’s easy to get started. Go to https://www.kanopy.com/en/keyslibraries/kids and sign up using your library card number and PIN. Afterward, when you log in again, you’ll use the username and password you set up during registration.

Little Bear
Based on the terrific Little Bear books illustrated by world-renowned Maurice Sendak and written by Else Holmelund Minarik, this charming animated series is about the warm cocoon childhood should be. It traces the spirited adventures of curious, imaginative, and inventive Little Bear and his friends. As Little Bear explores the world under his mother’s watchful eye, curiosity and imagination lead to exploration, experience, and independence. Hooray for Little Bear!
Franklin
Franklin is a young turtle who, along with his animal friends, learns how he fits in the world and how the world fits him. Like most children, Franklin learns by making mistakes. When he fibs, gets lost, or acts bossy, he usually finds solutions himself, learning lessons the Franklin way – but also having fun in the process. He is a unique character who makes an instant connection with viewers.
Ernest & Celestine
Deep below snowy, cobblestone streets, tucked away in networks of winding subterranean tunnels, lives a civilization of hardworking mice, terrified of the bears who live above ground. Unlike her fellow mice, Celestine is an artist and a dreamer – and when she nearly ends up as breakfast for ursine troubadour Ernest, the two form an unlikely bond. But it isn’t long before their friendship is put on trial by their respective bear-fearing and mice-eating communities.

New videos are added each month.
Parents can set a four-digit pin to prevent kids from viewing a title that has not been approved for viewing in Kanopy Kids.
While in Kids Mode, Watchlists and Viewing Histories will automatically be filtered to show only age-appropriate content.
