The (Many) Cemeteries of Key West
Find out where the island’s bodies are buried when Dr. Corey Malcom, lead historian for the Florida Keys History Center, presents “The (Many) Cemeteries of Key West” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at the Key West Library, 700 Fleming St.
Through an examination of historical and archaeological evidence, Malcom has identified a surprising number of burial sites, and he will share the locations and stories behind these many places where the dead are interred. The lecture is a joint presentation by the Key West Maritime Historical Society and the Florida Keys History Center and is open to the public.
